Our best friend Ginger passed over the rainbow bridge on April 18, 2007 at the age of 13.  She was an extraordinary boston terrier who started her life in the worst conditions but never gave up hope.

After living 7 years in a puppy mill in a cage just having puppies,  she was malnourished and had never even walked in grass.  The puppy mill was shut down and 3 bostons came to Michigan.  We fostered Ginger and after trying to find her a home we decided to keep her (Or it was more like she decided to keep us)!

The last 6 years she spent traveling the country, going camping and having all kinds of fun.  She was not on the web cam much because she had such bad separation anxiety that she had to stay in a smaller room where she could relax.

The last year of her life she couldn't see anymore but she would get along just fine.  Then an amazing thing happened while we were holding her.  She looked at us and could see again.  Her eye that had been clouded and swollen, had shrank and cleared up.  She could see us, Winston and Webster once more.  Shortly after, she crossed the rainbow bridge.  It was one last gift to us and her before she left.

Take a look below to see the adventures of our precious girl who will be missed greatly.

Traveling the country
Ginger was a sweet girl but she was also a strong girl.  2 1/2 years ago the vet told us that Ginger would probably only be with us a few more months.  She had a large tumor and her hard life hadn't helped.  Well, Ginger surprised us all and was full of energy right up to the end. The two pictures below were taken a week before she crossed the rainbow bridge.
